Q: How long is the smoke expected to stay?
A: KIRO 7 PinPoint Weather Meteorologist Nick Allard said the ash could fall through today, but taper off this evening and tonight. The air will still be very hazy and smoky, however, even if the air quality is slightly better.
The smoke also will be slightly better on Wednesday, but it’ll still hang around the Northwest because no east winds are expected.
By Thursday the smoke is expected to clear in Seattle and surrounding areas, and the skies are expected to look more like normal.
